When we were talking there was a point when you just said, “Can I talk to my dad?”

Did you just want to tell him first?

I just wanted to—you know—tell him that I loved him and that this is probably the last time you’re gonna see me again as far as you know…outside of a—outside of a cell.

You looking forward to them coming?

Yeah ‘cause, when you just talk to them on the phone you know it’s totally different when you see ‘em. See a face, you know?

It’s like when we got on that little video conference in Weld County, it was like it was all I could do stop—not to like breakdown on the phone, so… Yeah.

So it’ll be good to see them. What do you get to do when they’re here?

Like in a room like this with a table?

There’s a visiting room—visiting center—like down in my unit and I don’t know what it looks like but I know they said it was like tables…

Because pretty much they—they set up a time and you get a couple hours.

That’ll be good.

Yeah it’s just in that little center there. I’m not sure what else is in there but I just know there’s tables. I think there’s like vending machines. Stuff like that. That’s about it.

But it’ll be good to see ‘em and unfortunately they can’t bring their phones in or anything. I was hoping they could maybe show me a video or two.

But that ain’t gonna happen. Or a picture. But they pretty much only let you come in with your ID. That’s it.

Can they mail you a still photo or anything like that? Yep they can do the still photo. Sometimes they try to play a video over the phone for me and it’s like you know…it’s really like fuzzy and crackles a lot so you can’t really hear anything.
