Jim Vail is one of those modelers that wasn't able to decide on a single prototype for his layout, so he decided to squeeze as many prototype scenes as he could into his basement! Jim models the Denver & Rio Grande Western, the Rio Grande Southern, the Denver South Park & Pacific, the West Side Lumber Company, and snippets of dozens of other notorious narrow gauge lines around the country! His craftsnanship is truly something to behold, and the level of detail on such a sophisticated model railroad is immense. Sorry for the low quality video, it was very dark in the layout room. This was filmed in June of 2013.
