The Selenga 2019 Russian-Mongolian joint drills concluded at the Munkh Khet training range on Wednesday with a massive live-fire exercise.
At the final phase of the drills, units from both countries used tanks, armoured vehicles and helicopters to captured a bridgehead in a simulated attack.
According to Russian Ministry of Defence, some 10,000 residents from nearby town of Choibalsan came to watch the final part of the drills.
The military exercises have been held annually since 2008. This year’s edition started on August 15 and included around 1,400 troops from both countries.
